Objective

Composition

  • Chief Advisor:
    The Chief Advisor plays a role in shaping the direction , providing mentorship, strategic guidance and support.
  • Student Branch Counsellor:
    The CSI Student Branch Counsellor is responsible for guiding and managing the activities of the Computer Society of India (CSI) Student Branch. The role is pivotal in ensuring that the branch operates effectively and aligns with both the institution's goals and CSI's mission.
  • Faculty Nominees:
    Faculty nominees play a significant role in ensuring the branch's activities are educationally enriching, professionally relevant.
  • President: Leads the club, oversees all activities, and ensures alignment with the club's goals.
  • Vice President: Assists the President, coordinates events, and steps in when the President is unavailable.
  • Secretary: Manages records, minutes of meetings, and correspondence.
  • Treasurer: Handles financial matters, including budgeting and fundraising for events.
  • Executive Committee members:
    Executive Committee plays a pivotal role in the leadership and operation of the Computer Society of India (CSI) Student Branch at an educational institution. Executive committee members are responsible for managing the branch's activities, engaging with members, and ensuring the branch meets its objectives.

Rules and Regulations

    Membership

  • Open to all students interested in computer science and IT.
  • Members must register by filling out a membership form.
  • Active participation in meetings and events is expected.
  • Meetings

  • Regular meetings will be held monthly or as decided by the club's executive members.
  • Special meetings may be called by the President as needed.
  • Quorum for meetings shall be at least 50% of the active members.
  • Event Planning

  • Plan and organize a variety of events throughout the academic year, including workshops, seminars, coding competitions, and hackathons.
  • Ensure all events are inclusive and cater to the diverse interests of the club members.
  • Develop detailed plans for each event, including objectives, timelines, budgets, and responsibilities.
  • Budget and Finance

  • The Treasurer shall maintain accurate records of all financial transactions.
  • All expenses must be approved by the executive committee.
  • Fundraising activities should be conducted ethically and transparently.
  • Promotion and Outreach

  • Promote events through various channels, including social media, posters, and campus announcements.
  • Engage with the student body to encourage participation and gather feedback on events.
  • Code of Conduct

  • Members must conduct themselves professionally and respectfully at all times.
  • Any form of discrimination, harassment, or misconduct will not be tolerated.
  • Members are expected to work collaboratively and support one another in achieving the club's goals.
  • Event Execution

  • Ensure all events are executed smoothly and safely, adhering to institutional policies and regulations.
  • Coordinate with relevant campus departments (e.g., IT services, facilities) to ensure logistical support for events.
  • Collect feedback from participants to evaluate the success of events and identify areas for improvement.
  • Continuous Improvement

  • Regularly review and update the club's activities and processes to reflect changes in the technology landscape and members' interests.
  • Solicit feedback from members and event participants to improve future events.
  • Record Keeping

  • Maintain accurate records of all events, meetings, and communications.
  • Ensure records are stored securely and are accessible to authorized members.
  • Amendments

  • Any changes to the club's rules and regulations can be proposed by any member.
  • Proposed amendments must be discussed in a meeting and approved by a two-thirds majority of the active members present.
