Creation of Cell

An Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) fosters entrepreneurial mindsets and ventures. Through mentorship, resources, and networking, EDCs support aspiring entrepreneurs in idea validation, business planning, and accessing funding. The cellcatalyses innovation, collaboration, and economic growth, nurturing a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Objectives

The ED Cell of the College conducts various awareness programmers such as Seminars, Workshops, Industrial Visits, and Interaction with young Entrepreneurs etc. These programmes are aimed at making the student community more enthusiastic towards entrepreneurial activity. The Advisory board for the ED cell comprises of members from industry, financial institutions, Research and Development, Government institutions etc. The board will guide and advise the cell in organizing various activities. The ED cell is a manifestation of the efforts, ideas dreams and aspiration of every individual associated with it. It is established to develop the entrepreneurial perspective in every student life thus empowering them to excel as entrepreneurs.

Roles and Responsibilities

Facilitate Entrepreneurial Education

  • Organize workshops, seminars, and training sessions to educate students and faculty about entrepreneurship, startup processes, and innovation.
  • Collaborate with academic departments to integrate entrepreneurial concepts into the curriculum.
  • Offer resources such as online courses, reading materials, and mentorship programs to enhance entrepreneurial knowledge and skills.
  • Mentorship and Guidance

  • Provide mentorship and guidance to aspiring entrepreneurs, including students, faculty, and community members.
  • Connect entrepreneurs with experienced mentors, alumni, industry experts, and successful startup founders.
  • Startup Support Services

  • Offer infrastructure support such as co-working spaces, incubation facilities, and access to prototyping labs.
  • Facilitate access to funding opportunities, including grants, scholarships, venture capital, angel investors, and crowd funding platforms.
  • Networking and Collaboration

  • Foster partnerships and collaborations with industry stakeholders, government agencies, investors, and other entrepreneurial support organizations.
  • Organize networking events, pitch competitions, hackathons, and startup showcases to connect entrepreneurs with potential collaborators, mentors, and investors.
  • Promotion of Innovation and Research:

  • Encourage innovation and research-driven entrepreneurship by supporting technology transfer, commercialization of research outcomes, and patenting activities.
  • Collaborate with research institutions, innovation hubs, and technology parks to leverage resources and expertise in fostering innovation.
  • Monitoring and Evaluation

  • Track and evaluate the impact of EDC activities on entrepreneurship development, startup success rates, job creation, and economic growth.
  • Collect feedback from stakeholders to identify areas for improvement and fine-tune the EDC's programs and services.
