Extension Activities Cell

Objective

The objective of the PG MBA & MCA Extension Activities Cell is to enrich the educational experience of postgraduate students pursuing MBA (Master of Business Administration) and MCA (Master of Computer Applications) programs by providing opportunities for practical learning, industry exposure, and community engagement. It aims to complement academic curriculum with real-world experiences, foster leadership and teamwork skills, and cultivate a sense of social responsibility among students.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Industry Interface
    Facilitate industry interactions, guest lectures, workshops, and industry visits to provide students with insights into real-world business and technology practices.
  • Internships and Projects
    Coordinate internships, industry projects, and consultancy assignments for students to gain hands-on experience, apply theoretical knowledge, and develop industry-specific skills.
  • Skill Development Programs
    Organize skill development workshops, seminars, and training programs on topics relevant to MBA and MCA students, such as leadership, communication, project management, and software development.
  • Entrepreneurship Initiatives
    Support entrepreneurship and innovation by organizing startup incubation programs, pitch competitions, and networking events to nurture entrepreneurial mindset and skills among students.
  • Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Projects
    Collaborate with community organizations to identify and implement CSR projects, such as skill development programs, environmental sustainability initiatives, and social welfare projects.
  • Professional Development
    Provide career counseling, resume building, and interview preparation support to enhance students' employability and career prospects.
  • Event Management
    Plan and organize academic and extracurricular events, such as conferences, seminars, cultural festivals, and sports tournaments, to promote holistic development and foster a sense of belonging among students.
  • Evaluation and Feedback
    Evaluate the effectiveness of extension activities through feedback surveys, performance assessments, and stakeholder consultations, and incorporate suggestions for continuous improvement.
  • Compliance
    Ensure compliance with institutional policies, academic regulations, and industry standards in the planning and execution of extension activities.
  • Documentation and Reporting
    Maintain records of extension activities, including project reports, student testimonials, and impact assessments, for documentation, reporting, and accountability purposes.
